Annual Conference and Trade Show is typically held in June.

Please review the following information before submitting your presentation.

  • Education sessions will be slotted in 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes. Please place your preference in your submission.
  • We are looking for bold, exciting, innovative, engaging and interactive sessions.

Speaker Terms and Compensation

CACP is a nonprofit organization, and therefore speaker honoraria and/or fees are not available. Presenting at a CACP event affords speakers access to an audience of law enforcement executives and other leaders in the public safety. It also represents an exceptional opportunity for presenters to secure additional engagements with law enforcement agencies whose executives make up our audience.

Upon selection by the CACP Conference Committee, selected presenters (up to three per session) will receive complimentary registration to the Annual Training Conference and Tradeshow for the day of your session. Otherwise, you will receive 50% off the registration rate if you plan to attend the full conference.

Review Process

All speaker proposals will be carefully reviewed by the CACP Conference Committee for their applicability to the CACP membership, with a particular focus on 21st Century Policing, Leadership Development, Officer Safety & Wellness, and Emerging/Contemporary Issues. Presenter selections will also be based on the following criteria:

  1. Clear statement of solutions to common challenges in the industry
  2. Extent to which attendees would benefit from your presentation
  3. Original work of the author/presenter
  4. Presenter's topic expertise and knowledge
  5. Presenter’s presentation experience and skill level

Presenters must commit, as part of their CACP speaker agreement, to maintain an educational focus for their session and to eliminate all sales messages or presentations. Sessions that incorporate a sales theme or message and/or receive low ratings will not be selected to serve at future conferences.
