Your application will be placed in the eligibility pool for one year. Departments review the applications throughout the year, so it is to your benefit to keep your file up-to-date. Mail or fax any new information, including any address or telephone number changes, to our office and we will update your application. Do not phone in changes. Keeping your application updated ensures you maximize your chances for interviews. Copies of your application are made for any department that requests them; multiple departments may view your application at any time. You may want to send a letter to any of the departments you would like to interview with, letting them know that you took the test and passed. This may increase the chances of a department looking at your file. Another tip: be sure and research the department you are granted an interview with, as this will assist in making a good impression on them.
