Letter From The CACP Outgoing President

June 27, 2018

CACP Membership,

As the outgoing President of the Colorado Association of Chiefs’ of Police I wanted to thank all members of our association for your support and dedication over the past year.

During my time as President, the board continued to build our association to be strong, resilient, and an influential voice for agencies across Colorado and internationally with Dwight Henninger becoming the 4th Vice President for IACP.

Prior to assuming the role as President my predecessors had overcome financial and operational challenges. The board during my tenure continued moving forward with the vision of previous boards and worked with our management company, Civica to build a strong organization.

Civica continues to manage our memberships, conferences and financials. The vision of our board was to grow our association with the professional assistance and direction of Civica.

I am confident that John Camper as the President for 2018-2019 will do a great job and has a strong board to help him continue to grow our association.

Again, I want to thank the membership, regional representatives, board members and all committee members for assistance during the 2017-2018 year and assure you that I will continue to be an active member in our association.

Thank you,

Duane C. Oakes
