This Week's CACP Sponsor In The Spotlight: Visual Labs

Posted: August 27, 2017

We'd like to thank Visual Labs for its continued support of CACP. Visual Labs was a Diamond Sponsor for the Keynote Speaker at the 2017 Annual Conference and we are glad they were able to join us. Visual Labs takes a completely different approach to body worn cameras versus the many other “camera‑only” products on the market today.  The Visual Labs body camera solution represents a paradigm shift in the thinking toward body worn cameras.  We believe the appropriate definition of BWC is not Body Worn Camera, but instead Body Worn Computer. Thank you Visual Labs!

Call For Articles For The Colorado Police Quarterly

Posted: August 22, 2017

Chiefs:

As you know, CACP puts out a periodical known as the Colorado Police Quarterly, originated, coordinated, and edited by Dr. John Reece, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Colorado Mesa University.  This has been a highly professional and well-presented journal for our association.  As sometimes happens, however, submissions to the journal have been starting to dry up a little, and we could use your help with that.

If you have written any articles, newsletter entries, columns, or even particularly noteworthy communications to your troops that you think could be shared with your colleagues, please feel free to submit them.  Similarly, if you have employees who have a particular expertise in an area that you think would be of interest to fellow Chiefs, this would be a great opportunity for them to ‘get published.’  They may even have relevant papers or articles that they have submitted for college credit that, with permission, would be appropriate for inclusion in the CPQ.  We hate to lose this valuable resource, so please help us in getting some material submitted.

Prospective articles may be submitted directly to Dr. Reece at joreece@coloradomesa.edu

Thanks,

John
