POST Scholarships Request For COVA Conference Through Regional Training RepPosted: July 20, 2017 Dear Chief of Police, This year, POST scholarships for sworn officers to attend the COVA Conference (Oct. 22-25, 2017, in Keystone, CO) must be requested through your POST regional training representative! Our hope is that your regional training rep will provide scholarships for the conference registration fee, a Sunday Skill Building Session approved by POST, or both. Depending on available funds and your regional rep approval, officers may request lodging, travel costs, and per diem reimbursement. We feel that it’s important for officers to be trained in victim issues. Last year, over 10% of our attendees were sworn officers, and we hope to increase that number this year. Attached is information about the conference schedule, POST regional training rep contact information, keynote speakers, Sunday skill building sessions, registration and lodging rates. The Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation (CFHF) will bring together multi-agency professionals with a variety of specialized skills to respond,and assist any organization with a memorial service befitting a hero as needed.
