The Office for Victims Programs (OVP) at the Division of Criminal Justice. OVP is responsible for a number of programs including the Crime Victim Services (CVS) Advisory Board which awards two year grants to victim service agencies around the state through 4 funding sources. We award approximately 230 grants every two years. The CVS Board has a statutory position for a police chief or police representative. Currently Chief John Collins has been the representative in this position on the CVS Board but his term expires at the end of December this year.

OVP is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving on the Board. The initial appointment is for a 3 year term and the appointment is approved by the Executive Director of the Department of Public Safety. There are 2-5 meetings per year and the individual would be expected to review approximately 40-50 grants every two years. Interested parties should complete the application and submit a letter of interest along with it by December 31, 2020.
