IACP Conference - September 11-14, 2021

CACP Members:

The IACP Conference is September 11-14, 2021 in New Orleans, Louisiana preparations are full speed ahead to have an in-person conference.  I am hoping you can all attend as I will be sworn-in as the new President of IACP on September 14^th.  I will be the first IACP President from Colorado since 1960!  We all need to be in NOLA to support Grand Junction Chief Doug Shoemaker’s campaign and election to 5^th Vice President of IACP, so it is not another 60 years for an IACP President from Colorado. 

Since I will be the incoming President, all the Colorado delegation is eligible to stay at the Host Hotel, which is right next to the Convention Center in New Orleans.  The Hilton Riverside is the Host Hotel rooms are $221 per night for both single and double-bed hotel rooms. Premium rooms are $261 per night. 

If you are interested in a room at the Hilton Riverside, please let me know by contacting my assistant Leesa Sherman-Hochmuth at [email protected] or (970) 479-2249.  Your interest is non-binding until a credit card will be required to hold the rooms sometime this Spring.  Please let Leesa and I know what type of room, number of rooms and how many nights you will be staying considering the below schedule.

• Friday, September 10 – Meetings start
• Saturday, September 11 – Conference Agenda starts and campaigning for Chief Shoemaker; Motorola is hosting a reception this evening for the Colorado Delegation
• Sunday, September 12 – Conference Agenda continues, Motorola is hosting a reception this evening for the Colorado Delegation
• Monday September 13 – Voting Day for IACP 5^th VP and Conference Agenda continues
• Tuesday, September 14 – Conference Agenda continues and my swearing in at the Conference Banquet. I will have several tables for the Colorado Delegation at the front of the event, I would be honored to have you there representing our State!
• Wednesday, September 15 – Potential IACP Service Project for New Orleans

The Hilton New Orleans Riverside is in the heart of New Orleans, walking distance from the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and the Outlet Collection at Riverwalk.  This 4 – star hotel is within proximity of The Shops at Canal Place, Louisiana Children’s Museum and World War II Museum for more details go to HiltonNewOrleans.guestreservations.com
