2022 CACP Annual Conference Speaker in the Spotlight: Dr. Kimberly Miller

“Our success in life is directly tied to those who came before us. Those who paved the way, opened doors, risked and broke out of the stereotypes meant to hold them back. Now, it is our turn”. Dr. Kimberly Miller

Dr. Kimberly Miller is a sought-after speaker and consultant who has been inspiring and motivating individuals in our profession for over 18 years. She has worked with hundreds of public safety organizations and provided training for tens of thousands of students around the country through her local, regional, national and online training programs.

She is a strength-based facilitator of individual and organizational change and is known for her relationship-based approach to her work and the skill-based, engaging training and consultation services she offers. Her programs and services are designed to improve not only the individual line-level employee skills but also the organization as a whole.

In this session you will come away with an understanding of the historical and cultural reasons women don’t often support women in this profession and how we can change this dynamic, detail the specific tools and strategies both men and women can use to elevate females in this field, and the critical factors to consider when choosing a mentor, and how to find one that is a fit for you. The Chief’s Circle was established over a year ago to bring Chiefs together on a confidential platform to vent frustrations and offer potential solutions to problems Chiefs are facing across the State
