Chief Dale Ruff Funeral AnnouncementPosted: February 22, 2018 On February 15th, Sanford Colorado police chief, Dale Ruff, passed away. Dale was the chief in the town of Sanford for a while, when he got injured assisting Conejos County Sheriff's Office with a violent prisoner approximately 2 years ago. Dale has been on workman's comp since fighting with the insurance company to get his injuries taken care of. Chief Ruff finally received approval to get his injuries taken care of two years after his injury and two days after his surgery, he passed away. At this time, the cause of death is uncertain.
