Aims Full-time Academy

Posted: September 5, 2019

In our efforts to help Colorado law enforcement agencies meet the ever growing demand for qualified personnel, I wish to inform you that The Aims Community College Public Safety Institute will offer a full-time police academy for sponsored students beginning January 13, 2020.

The academy will run concurrently with the Spring semester of our part-time police academy, and all academic training will be conducted at the Windsor Campus. Skills-based training (firearms, arrest and control, and driving) will be conducted at the Adams County Sheriff's Office Flatrock training facility in Commerce City.

The full-time Academy will run from January 13 — May 5, 2020 and will be based on a 40-hour work week. Approximate cost for tuition and books will be $6,500 (in-state) per student. We anticipate that the Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification examination will be conducted on May 6, 2020 at the Windsor Campus.
