FLETC Offering Leadership Series Presentation for 2021

On January 13th, 2021, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers’ (FLETC), State, Local and Tribal Division (SLTD) will be starting off its Leadership Series Presentation for 2021. In this 2 hour course, you will be provided a 2020 reflections from the U.S. Marshal’s Services and the challenges they faced as Federal Law Enforcement. They will be addressing the following talking points:

· Agility in federal law enforcement operations

· Criticality of deployable administrative support

· Proper resource utilization

· Force review and documentation

 The presenter for this leadership topic is Andrew Smith, the Assistant Director (AD), Tactical Operations Division (TOD), of the United States Marshal Service (USMS). AD SMITH assumed the duties and responsibilities of TOD in December 2019. In this capacity, AD Smith oversees the USMS crisis response programs as well as national security and contingency programs. AD Smith leads a geographically dispersed staff that protects the Judiciary, responds to national emergencies and crises involving Homeland Security, and supports USMS operations spanning a wide and varied range of federal law enforcement missions ordered by the President and United States Attorney General.
