Invitation to Police Week Celebration of the Law Enforcement Memorial

Senator Cooke and The Colorado State Legislature are, once again, hosting members of the law enforcement community to honor fallen officers and highlight the impact of the profession on the community.  The annual event, which includes a reading of the names of fallen officers and the adoption of a resolution, will be held on the 28th of March in the a.m. on both the House and Senate Floors.  The event will start at 9 but we would like for folks to arrive around 8:30 to coordinate entry onto the floor of the Senate Chambers. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by sending an email with the title "Law Enforcement Memorial" to Jesse Jensen ([email protected]).  All law enforcement are welcome, but please attend wearing full uniform. Limited parking will be available at CML Offices at 1144 Sherman (Check in to their front office).  For everyone else, there is paid parking available to the East of the Capitol along Grant.

Rocky Mountain Women in Law Enforcement Announce Nominations Are Open

During this era of decreased budgets and increased demands upon our personnel, one way to reward your employees is to recognize their outstanding work. Each year Rocky Mountain Women in Law Enforcement (RMWLE) recognizes the efforts of both civilian and sworn employees. I would like to encourage you to nominate your deserving employees for this recognition. Nominations are due by June 1, 2017. All awardees will be able to attend the full conference with lodging included upon their selection.
