The Mid-Year Conference is one of two opportunities that CACP offers all Colorado Chiefs of Police to meet and learn relevant information about law enforcement. All Mid-Year Conference attendees are invited to attend the Executive Leadership Training for no additional charge. You can add the Training onto your Mid-Year Conference registration.

The Mid-Year Conference and Executive Leadership Training will both take place in Broomfield, Colorado. CACP has a block of hotel rooms available in Broomfield for those who need lodging. You will receive specific information regarding the location for the Executive Leadership Training and the Mid-Year Conference along with hotel information once you have registered.

Executive Leadership Training (previously known as New Chiefs Orientation)
March 7-8

This two-day pre-conference training focuses on the following topics:
  • Importance of Mental Health Services and Peer Support
  • Personnel Early Warning Systems and Career Killers
  • Media Relations
  • Recruiting, Retention and Succession Planning
  • Navigating the Budget Swamp
  • A Leadership Model You Can Use
These two days of training are open to all attendees attending the Mid-Year conference.  The sessions are best for new and aspiring leaders in your organizations.  There is no additional charge to attend the Executive Leadership Training, but meals will not be provided.  We hope to see you there!

PLEASE NOTE:  Formal approval of all membership applications is voted on by the CACP board. If your membership is not approved, membership fees will be refunded less the difference between non-member and member rates for the mid-year conference.

By attending this conference, permission and license is given to publish, reproduce, tape, print, distribute, and/or otherwise use my name and any still or moving photographic image, likeness or sound recordings.



Conference Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations and requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to CACP via email. Refund requests received by Monday, February 20th will receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee. There are no refunds after February 20th or for no-shows. Refunds will be processed 30 days after the event. Substitutions are encouraged.
