Donald J. Jarvis Sr. Recently Passed Away

Posted: October 30, 2017

Donald J. Jarvis SR.
5/27/1933 - 10/22/2017

Don went to heaven on 10/22/17, surrounded by his family, he will join his son Terry Jarvis who preceded Don in death on 1/15/2004. Don was a dedicated Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Colorado for 40 years. He was also a graduate of the FBI Academy. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, JoAnne, his son Jim, his son Donald (Julie) and 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Don requested no funeral services but his family will have a memorial service in the near future. Don will be missed by all family members and close friends who all filled his life. A special thank you to each and every Lutheran Hospice worker who helped Don do the best he could do through his 4 month struggle at the end.

"Don was a good friend and a real "old timer." He started his career with the Adams County S.O. in the 50's, later became the chief of police in Brighton and then in Golden. Great guy--he will be missed." -Dan Montgomery, Chief of Police (Retired)
