2017 Destination Zero Conference Dates And Location Announced

The inaugural Destination Zero Conference is scheduled for August 3–4, 2017! The conference is being held in the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes, Hotel, located in beautiful Orlando, Florida.
The Bureau of Justice Assistance Destination Zero (DZ) Program is a collaborative effort between the VALOR Officer Safety Program and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and was designed to help law enforcement agencies improve the health and safety of their officers across the United States.
Two Days, No Cost
The two-day, no-cost conference will offer law enforcement professionals from around the nation an opportunity to hear about successful and/or promising officer safety and wellness programs and meet the people who developed them. Attendees will leave inspired to then create, implement, and market programs in their own agencies.

Consider Attending The Child Abduction Response Plan Training On July 18

Please see the bulletin below on Child Abduction Response Plan Training to take place in Westminster, Colorado and Aurora, Colorado during the week of July 17-21, 2017. Any law enforcement personnel who may respond in child abduction investigations are encouraged to attend one of these trainings.
The first training is a five-day class and will conclude with a child abduction Field Training Exercise. The five-day class will be limited to approximately 50 attendees, whose primary responsibilities would include responding to missing and abducted children. For those who cannot commit to attend the five-day class, but want greater familiarity with responding to child abductions, then a one-day class will be offered during the same week. Instruction at both classes will be provided by FBI National Child Abduction Rapid Deployment (CARD) Team and FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) personnel.
The 5-day class is nearly full, but you could still add yourself as an alternate in case we get some cancellations. The 1-day class has room for up to 300, is open to all law enforcement, and still has tons of room.

Law Enforcement Appreciation At Coors Field On July 8

The Colorado Rockies and Major League Baseball has teamed up with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund to show our appreciation for the men and women of Colorado who serve as law enforcement officers, corrections officers, public safety and first responders. Your Rockies and the Memorial Fund invite you, your friends, family, colleagues and the general public to join us for the Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation at Coors Field on Saturday July 8th at 7:10pm as the Rockies take on the Chicago White Sox.

Five dollars of each ticket sold will be donated to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
